January 24, 2014 Friday Night Fun: TCG League Challenge and XY Prerelease Tournaments

League Challenge                                                     Sealed: XY Prerelease Event (8 total packsl)

Registration for both: 6:00-6:30pm                              Events Begin: 6:30pm

There will be several XY Prerelease events though out the weekend.  At this time, players may only play in one event unless we have extra product left on Sunday.

 

January 25, 2014, Saturday: TCG Regional Championship Tournament

 Registration: 9:00-10:00am

Event Begins: 10:30am

(You must be in the deck check line before 10:00am to be in the event without a round one loss.)

Format: Modified

Entry: Juniors and Seniors Free            Masters: $20.00

You may preregister for the event.  However, all participants  must still arrive before the end of registration with a deck  list and masters must also pay their entry fee.

Prizes: For each age division

All participants will receive 3 Play! Points, and a Pokémon Regional Championships promo card (while supplies last), just for playing!

Master players I have added some extra prizes for the top placing players.  I have noted the extra prizes by putting (extra prize added by Organizer).  The first 250 Masters that turn in decklist either Friday or Saturday morning will receive a special color regional die in addition to the one received for being in the event if your one of the first 300 players to turn in a decklist .  See below for all the details.

1st Place

  • A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 1st Place award
  • A first- and second-round bye at the U.S. National Championships*
  • A combination of 72 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
    • Masters Division players receive an additional 144 packs (216 total)
  • 150 Championship Points
  • Masters only $150.00  gift card (extra prize added by Organizer)

2nd Place

  • A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 2nd Place award
  • A first- and second-round bye at the U.S. National Championships*
  • A combination of 72 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
    • Masters Division players receive an additional 72 packs (144 total)
  • 135 Championship Points (if division attendance is 4 or greater)
  • Masters only $125.00 gift card (extra prize added by Organizer)

3rd & 4th Place

  • A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 3rd or 4th Place award
  • A combination of 36 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
    • Masters Division players receive an additional 72 packs (108 total)
  • 105 Championship Points (if division attendance is 8 or greater)
  • Masters only $75.00 gift card (extra prize added by Organizer)

5th Place through 8th Place

  • A combination of 27 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
    • Masters Division players receive an additional 27 packs (54 total)
  • 75 Championship Points(if division attendance is 32 or greater)
  • Masters only $25.00 gift card (extra prize added by Organizer)

9th Place through 12th Place

  • A combination of 18 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
    • Masters Division players receive an additional 18 packs (36 total)
  • 45 Championship Points (if division attendance is 64 or greater)

13th Place through 16th Place

  • A combination of 18 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
    • Masters Division players receive an additional 18 packs (36 total)

17th Place through 32nd Place

  • A combination of 9 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions

33rd Place through 45th Place

66th Place through 75th Place

  • Masters Division players receive a combination of 8 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions  (extra prize added by Organizer)

76th Place through 85th Place

  • Masters Division players receive a combination of 6 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions  (extra prize added by Organizer)

86th Place through 100th Place

  • Masters Division players receive a combination of 4 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions  (extra prize added by Organizer)

Participants will receive an exclusive regional promo card while supplies last!

There will be raffles throughout the day for cool Pokémon merchandise.
 
 The first 300 players to turn in a decklist Saturday will receive a custom regional die.
The first 100 players to turn in a Regional decklist Friday between 6:00-9:00pm get a second
custom regional die of a different color.

General Event Information:

Tournament Structure:

Player will be separated into three age divisions

Juniors 2003 or later

Seniors 1999, 2000, 2001 2002

Masters 1998 or earlier

 

TCG Modified Format:

BW: Next Destinies, BW Dark Explores, Dragons Exalted, Boundaries Crossed, Plasma Storm, Plasma Freeze, Plasma Blast, Legendary Treasures, Dragons Vault and future sets as they are released.

Promos BW 33 and higher, McDonalds Collection, Kalos Starter Set

What to bring and know:

1) Your Pokémon Player Number.  If you don’t have a Player number, one will be given to you at the event.  You must activate this online at www.pokemon.com after the event at your earliest convenience.

2)      TCG Player: A deck in the modified format, a die, damage counters, and special condition markers.

3)       VGC: X or Y game and charger

4)      Money for lunch and dinner.

5)      Any player may participate in the event unless they have been suspended from Pokémon.  All player must abide by the Pokémon floor rules.

 

Hotel Booking Information

Call 1-800-354-8332 and use code word Pokémon 2014 to receive the special regional rate.  (This rate is good for 3 days before and after the event)  You need to book by 12-25-2013 to receive the Pokémon rate.

Rooms will be 89.00 plus tax a night for Pokémon players and family members.  Parking is free this year.

 

Cool Stuff

Will be there buying and selling singles at the event.  They will buy bulk commons and uncommons  at $40.00 for thousand cards.
